Yuvaan Jalan is a Grade 10 student at the Doon School, where he studies English, Geography, Biology, Physics, and Integrated Math. Yuvaan hopes to pursue Environmental Studies and Policy at college, with a special focus on sustainability and the conservation of native crops. These interests have informed his other activities, including at Oxford Royale’s summer school where he created a project on eco-friendly urban gardening solutions for a Business, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship course.
Yuvaan’s engagement with environmental studies extends beyond academics. He is an active member of the Environmental Society at school and leads initiatives like the Orchid Conservation Project and Nissara Wildlife Garden. These efforts have included geotagging, reforestation, and the creation of sustainable green spaces. Additionally, Yuvaan is a seasoned debater and is trained in classical music, playing the Veena.
